On Wednesday evening this week we welcome for the first time to the Spectrum MIDHURST & EASEBOURNE FC of the Southern Combination League for a first round Aldershot Senior Cup tie.
Kick-off is at 7.30pm and admission to the ground will be by a donation of your choice. Buckets and a card reader will be situated at the turnstile. Just donate as much or as little as you want. All monies collected will be donated to SeeAbility UK, who have a residential home Dene Croft in Guildford.
SeeAbility UK specialises in supporting people who have learning disabilities or autism, who may also have sight loss, to live ambitious lives and achieve things they never thought possible. Whether that is forming more friendships and relationships, enjoying new experiences and activities or finding employment.
The Aldershot Senior Cup is a competition with a long history. The first winners were the 1st Battalion Highland Light Infantry in 1895. The final is held traditionally at the Recreation Ground, the home of Aldershot Town FC. The current holders are Camberley Town who beat Knaphill 4-1 in the final. Since the year 2000 the Cup has been won by 11 different clubs of whom Camberley Town and Fleet Town have won the trophy four times each.
Come on down, support our friends at SeeAbility, and support your local senior football club.
