Ian Plested caught up with first team manager Pete Ruggles after our 2-1 defeat away to Badshot Lea. It was a disappointing first half from City who couldn’t find any rhythm to their play and found ourselves 2-0 down at half time. City came out a different side in the second half and took the game to our opponents. Ruggles’s side created chances and our goal came from Aiden Brown via the penalty spot. We could have got our first points on the board late on when Scott Costello close range shot cannoned of the post. A game of two halves was the talk from the Sweeney fans after the game, and City could feel aggrieved that we couldn’t snatch a point at the end.
