Yesterday saw City victorious in a hard fought physical encounter away at Eastbourne Town. Barnes’s side had an early set back as the home side took the lead within two minutes and looked like adding to their lead. Then mid-way through the first half striker Jordan Adeyemi slotted home a penalty and then added another just before the end of the half. Adeyemi completed his hat-trick with a stunning free-kick after Max Oldham had scored with a curling shot just inside the box. Perhaps the 4-2 scoreline doesn’t tell theentire story but its City who move into the next round!
