Ian Plested caught up with manager Nikki Bull after our 1-0 victory vs Cobham FC. City looked to attack from the first minute, with the Cobham keeper making crucial saves to keep out chances from Nathaniel Mensah and debutant Reece Deakin. It was a wonder strike from Harry Laflin that broke the deadlock as he struck a volley from over 25 yards out that beat the diving keeper. Just before half time another City debutant Ryan Huckle was dubiously shown a straight red for a sliding tackle. The Sweeney could have sat back once a man short but for the rest of the match continued to attack much to the delight of the City fans. An important three points in Bull’s first home match as manager.
