New Statement from Guildford City Football Club

“Following the resignation this morning of Guildford City manager Dean Thomas, the Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Rayner.   Kevin was formerly Guildford City manager between March 2009 – May 2013. During this time Rayner took City to two consecutive Combined Counties championships and back into the Southern League for the first time in 38 years.  In the club’s first season in Division One Central, Rayner oversaw a creditable ninth place finish. At the close of the season he departed for a new chapter in his career at Chipstead FC.  Rayner however departed Chipstead in October, and is looking forward to returning to the Spectrum, and working hard to lift the club from its current league position.”
