Camberley started well and looked every inch the championship challengers that they are. Guildford did well to cope with the pacey visitors before Camberley snatched the lead with a crisp slow shot from 18 yards. They nearly doubled their lead soon after but the ball came back off the post. Within five minutes however City were level through Jaydon Gibbs and shortly after shocked the visitors when Greaves was pulled back in the area and quickly despatched the resultant penalty. The second half had City fans chewing their finger nails as Camberley layed siege to Antony Hall’s goal. The Guildford defence however rarely looked over-stretched and comfortably soaked up the pressure. The goal to calm City nerves came mid way through the half when Joel Greaves squared the ball into the 6 yard box where Joel Hughes was on hand to poke home.
