
Following the conclusion of the season, Guildford City players and officials met at H Bar in town to recognise players’ efforts over the season.
Benji Gambrah, in his first full season in senior football, walked away with both the Supporters’ and Management Player of the Year. Vice-Chairman Ed Shires and team manager Carl Taylor made the respective presentations. Midfielder Ben Drake won the Players’ Player award which was also presented by Ed Shires. The popular Manny Acheampong received an award for being top goal scorer, whilst Darnell Jon-Peter received an award after being judged to have scored the “Goal of the Season”. The goal in question being his effort from the centre-circle against Epsom & Ewell in March.
Awards were also presented to the Women’s team. Goalkeeper and captain Emmy Birch received the Player’s Player award from Ed Shires. The Manager’s award went to Charley Kendrick-McGavigan who wasn’t able to be present on the evening. Pictures from the evening are below.
