Many older supporters might like to know that a memorial service for David Salmon is being held at St Saviour’s Church, Guildford at 11am on Friday 16 October. David was Guildford City’s official photographer for many years during the 1960’s and early 70’s, and he supplied the vast majority of the photographs published in the Surrey Advertiser.
Hugely likeable, David was one of Guildford’s larger than life characters. Hundreds of David’s iconic photographs will be on show, and there will be presentations by David Rose and Geoff Burch. Refreshments will be available afterwards and all are very welcome.
Guildford City Football Club will be represented at the service.
