Ian Plested caught up with first team manager Pete Ruggles after our 4-1 victory at home to Frimley Green. City picked up their first three points of the season through a brilliant team performance. We started well with CB turned striker Jamie Pearce causing problems upfront from the off and in the 16th minute a brilliant corner from debutant Timmy Taylor was met equally brilliantly by CB Lloyd Connelly who scores his second of the season. Our second goal came from a majestic solo run down the left from the skilful Charlie Samuel who put a low cross into the middle of the box for Jamie Pearce to slot home from close range. Frimley throughout the game continued to look dangerous but were often met by some outstanding saves from Stuart Norman.
After half time it was another Timmy Taylor corner that caused the away defenders problems with Ashley Hitchinson rising highest to header the ball into the back of the net. Frimley got one back before substitute Billy Murphy was sent through on goal by a Samuel pass and he neatly rounded the keeper to make it 4-1.
