Ian Plested caught up with first team coach Tom Davis after our narrow 2-1 defeat vs AFC Croydon. A close match where City didn’t get going until the 55th minute, 2-0 down with the home side still creating chances, manager Ruggles made five changes giving us more energy in attack. We got a goal back through substitute Aiden Holland in the 62nd minute and looked dangerous until the last second of play where the AFC Croydon goalkeeper pulled off a world class save from close range, tipping the ball onto the bar and the oncoming City attackers couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net.
