Guildford City 4 – 1 Banstead Athletic

Guildford City comfortably saw off Banstead Athletic, despite playing the last third of the match a man down.  Austin Gacheru finished smartly after a neat run in the 23rd minute, before Jaydon Gibbs scored his second goal of the season with a fine flying header shortly before the break.  Banstead were not going to lie down however, and Stephan Gnahore pulled one back almost immediately afterwards.  The second half was not as lively, but on the hour mark Ben Camara was sent off for what seemed to be an innocuous challenge for a header.  Ten minutes later, Dan Moody latched on to a superb pass from Antony Hall, nicked the ball over the goalkeeper and headed past him to score.  In the 90th minute, Ben Rayner was fouled by a poor challenge in the box and Moody stepped up to score City’s fourth from the penalty spot.
