Guildford City 4 – 0 Egham Town

City started this game very strongly, with chances coming thick and fast, Egham managed to keep the home side out until the 24th minute when Jamie Thoroughgood popped up to nab his second goal of the season. City kept pushing and Jack Guilford doubled the lead just after the half hour.

Egham played much better in the second half, although chances for the visitors remained at a premium. The match would probably have stayed at 2-0 but just a few minutes from the end the Egham keeper was penalised for picking up a perceived back pass. Jaydon Gibbs hammered the ball past the entire Sarnies team to make it 3-0. Just to rub salt well and truly into Egham’s wounds Cory Holder, on as a sub only a few minutes and making his Guildford debut, finished well to round off a satisfying night for City.
