Guildford City 2 – 1 Croydon

Terry the Guildford City FC DinosaurAustin Gacheru snatched a winner for City in the third minute of injury time, pouncing after Dan Moody’s effort was parried by Croydon goalkeeper Francis Ameyaw.  In a match lacking spark, City opened the scoring shortly before the half hour mark when Jack Guilford met a cross from Gibbs after excellent work down the wing.  Croydon missed a gilt-edged chance to level before half time, but did capitalise on a defensive error to equalise in the 86th minute when Claudio De Almeida raced through to score.  But City threw everything forward and grabbed a winner in dramatic style.
