Guildford City 2 – 0 Sandhurst Town

Guildford City raised over £200 for Combat Stress and came away with three points against Sandhurst Town. Under a cloudless sky and in front of 121 spectators, neither side could break through in an even first half. City came out strongly after the break, and piled pressure on the Sandhurst defence. Dan Moody capitalised on a shaky piece of defending when he looped an unconventional strike over the goalkeeper’s head to put City one goal ahead. Joel Greaves powered through the Fizzers’ defence before cooly slotting home to double City’s lead in the 60th minute. There was little attacking threat from the visitors, and the result means Guildford City keep their title challenge in their own grasp.
