Guildford City 1 – 3 Egham Town

A below-par performance from Guildford City resulted in visitors Egham Town inflicting a third league defeat of the season on the hosts.  City were simply never at the races, and the tone was set early on when Egham’s Dale Marvell produced an excellent strike to put the away side ahead after 11 minutes.  Antony Hall was the busier of the two goalkeepers throughout, but at the other end City’s best chance of the first half fell to Dan Moody shortly before the break.  Enrico Rossoni double the advantage shortly after the hour when Egham broke quickly.  Guildford struggled to get into the match but did pull a goal back when Dan Moody converted a penalty with a few minutes left to play.  While chasing the equaliser, Lance Banton-Brown picked up a second caution and the ten men of Guildford City conceded in injury time – Jake Galbraith slotting home for Egham.
