FIRST TEAM SQUAD 22/23

We are delighted to bring you our first team playing squad ready for the start of our competitive campaign! Get a brief description of our players below:

Aidan Brown:  A powerful striker who signed for City in July 2022. A regular goalscorer at his previous clubs which include Raynes Park Vale, Redhill and Sutton Common Rovers.

Shane Cheeseman: A versatile player who can play in a myriad of positions. Usually though these days on the right side of the defence. He started at Cobham aged 16 before moving on to the Woking academy. After two years he joined Westfield, before moving on to Sheerwater where he made over 100 appearances. He signed for City in July 2022.  

Lloyd Connelly: A central defender who joins City from Knaphill where he was near ever present last season. He previously played for Epsom & Ewell, where he made over 100 appearances, and Westfield.

Scott Costello: Club captain for the 2022-23 season. An attacking midfielder who is good in the air. He joins City from Sheerwater where he was last season’s leading goalscorer. He formerly played for Knaphill.

Leon Dadey: A skilful winger who signed for City from Sheerwater in July 2022. He formerly played for Sutton Common Rovers and Tooting & Mitcham.

Keion’dre Ellis-Vassell: The youngest player in the squad at just 16 years of age. An exciting ball player who was City’s Under 18 player of the year last season.

Tom Hegarty: An experienced central defender who played as a teenager for Cobham and Westfield. Upon joining the Army he played Corps football representing The Infantry. On leaving the military he joined Sheerwater where he made over 100 appearances. He signed for City in July 2022.  He has missed much of pre-season with a foot injury.

Kyle Henry: A versatile striker or wide player with pace who played last season at Step 4 for Sutton Common Rovers. A low centre of gravity makes him hard to knock off the ball. He also has experience playing for Farnham Town and Sutton United academy.

Ashley Hitchinson: An imposing defender who was near ever present for Sheerwater last season. His former clubs include Staines Lammas, Bedfont & Feltham and Bedfont Sports.

Joe Jarrett: A centre midfielder who signed for City from Redhill in August 2022.

Stephan Langley: A tall and composed central defender who joined the club from Westfield. He originally played for the Hampton & Richmond academy before progressing to Bedfont Sports and Staines Town.

Michael Leech: An experienced midfielder who has joined the club from Sheerwater.  He formerly played for Farnham Town.

Billy Murphy: A bustling striker who has recently returned from a lengthy injury which restricted his appearances at his previous clubs Redhill and Westside.

Stuart Norman: An experienced goalkeeper who has returned to the club for a third spell having previously made 35 City appearances. His previous clubs include Westfield, Camberley Town and Frimley Green.

Billy Nutbeam: A left sided wing back who first played senior football for Staines Lammas and Bedfont & Feltham. In 2020 he signed for Sheerwater where he regularly contributed valuable goals. He joined City in July 2022.

Jamie Pearce: An experienced central defender who joins City from Sheerwater for who featured regularly last season. Previously he made 62 appearances playing for Bedfont & Feltham.

Nathan Pooley: A 23-year-old midfielder who joined City in July 2022 from Sheerwater where he had been last season’s player of the year. He formerly played for Ashford Town (Middx).  

Morgan Porter: An exciting player with the ball at his feet. He signed for City from Westfield U23s where he had been last season’s Manager’s and Players’ Player of the season.

Jamil Saleh: A ball playing midfield player who joined City from Sheerwater in July 2022. He played for Skelmersdale United and St Helens Town whilst at university in the north-west. He has since played for Spelthorne Sports and Fleet Spurs.  

Nathaniel Williams: A wide player who has re-joined the club for a fourth time after spells at Walton & Hersham, Colliers Wood, Banstead Athletic and Farnham Town.  He scored on his Guildford first team debut as a 16-year-old in December 2014 and now is fast approaching 100 club appearances.
