Chessington & Hook United 1 – 4 Guildford City

A brace of goals in either half earned Guildford City three points et Chessington & Hook United. Ben Camara and Jack Guilford netted in the first half before the hosts pulled one back just after the hour mark. Austin Gacheru and a penalty from Dan Moody secured the victory late on.

Always wary of the threat Chessington posed, despite their league position, City took the bull by the horns and pressed early.  After a couple of chances in the opening minutes, the visitors were nearly undone on the break. However, Ben Camara opened the scoring just before the hour hour mark with a fine shot from outside the penalty area.  That lead was doubled when Jack Guilford headed home a corner shortly before the break.

Austin Gacheru and Will Heavey had chances in the early stages of the second half, but Chessington pulled a goal back on 65 minutes when Antony Hall is beaten to the ball by Harding.  However, City regained their advantage when the impressive Gacheru struck ten minutes later and put the game beyond doubt when Dan Moody converted a spot kick in the 81st minute.  Paul Spencer came closest to adding a fifth but the score remained the same until the final whistle.
