Guildford City Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Thomas as its new first team manager.
Thomas, aged 33, was previously manager of Sandhurst Town and Cove FC, and he joins Guildford City after a short break from the game. Dean had an impressive playing career, featuring regularly for Carshalton Athletic from the age of 17 years, before joining Kingstonian where he was part of Geoff Chapple’s two FA Trophy winning squads. After returning to Carshalton in 2001, Dean suffered a broken leg that caused him a two year absence from the game. Upon returning to fitness Dean played in Malta for Msida St Joseph, before returning home where he featured for AFC Hayes, Bracknell Town, Aylesbury United and Reading Town.
The Committee would like to welcome Dean to Guildford City and we wish him a long and successful stay at the Club
