On 15 March 2017 the town of Guildford experienced its most memorable football evening for 43 years. National League big boys Woking FC made the short journey from Kingfield to face Guildford City in the semi-final of the Surrey Senior Cup at the Spectrum. In an amazing atmosphere with over 500 spectators in the ground City was a match for their higher league rivals. The crowd and the roar that greeted City’s goal has shown what the future could be like for this club.
To start on that journey we need help from the people of Guildford. New manager Chris Balchin, a Guildford man through and through, is building his new look side with assistant Neil Grant and the future looks exciting with young players, many of them local, playing attractive and entertaining football.
You can support us by coming down to watch games at the Spectrum. Perhaps come down when the weather is fine? Perhaps come down when your main club are away from home? Or maybe come down regularly and join the loyal band of current supporters.
