Merry Christmas from Guildford City

Christmas & New Year Message 2016/17

On the pitch this seasochristmas-bellsn we once again had a change of team management which led to another period of transition on the field. Steve Dormer stepped up from the assistant’s role at the start of October to lead the side, and despite some obstacles, he is building a talented young team of whom we are sure the club will be proud.    Off of the field of play we have continued to involve ourselves with our friends in the local community. At several matches earlier in the season we welcomed some of the younger age groups from our Junior section who much enjoyed acting as mascots and playing small sided games on the pitch. We also hosted our charity partners, the halow project, at a home match in October. In addition, and for the first time, we have established links with Denecroft: a residential home for the blind, and we were pleased to welcome Paddy and his carers to a match. We look forward to building further on these relationships in the New Year.

Finally at this time of goodwill Guildford City Football Club’s Management Committee, Team Management and Players’ would like to wish our friends, supporters, sponsors and all football followers everywhere a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. There is much to look forward to in the New Year and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our next home match against Abbey Rangers at the Spectrum on 2 January at 11.30am.
