Please Support City at Mole Valley SCR!

6/09/2014 Guildford City FC v Chertsey Town FC.

by Jack Underwood
Tomorrow (Saturday) Guildford City travel to Mole Valley SCR for the final match of their season. After Wednesday’s home victory against Cove, City have pulled themselves clear of the bottom three for the first time in months and their Premier division future lies in their own hands as a win at the Leg of Mutton Ground would guarantee survival.

Mole Valley SCR come into the match with confidence after winning away at Hartley Wintney last Saturday by 1-0, but with their own Premier Division status also in the balance nerves will certainly play a part in this survival clash.

The reverse fixture was Don Chislett’s first game in charge of Guildford City back in December and saw the two side’s draw 2-2. But with a much more experienced side and both Anthony Baker and Dan Stewart on top goal scoring form, Chislett will be looking for maximum points.

This final match of the season is probably Guildford City’s biggest game for years and the Sweeney will be travelling in numbers to support the lads in their quest to complete a ‘great escape’.  If you can attend please do your upmost to be there.

Mole Valley’s Leg of Mutton ground is in Downside Bridge Road, Cobham KT11 1AA. It is strongly recommended that supporters park in the public pay and display car park opposite the driveway down to the ground.
