City Back in Action at the Spectrum on Saturday

6/09/2014 Guildford City FC v Chertsey Town FC.

by Jack Underwood

This Saturday (28th March) we welcome Epsom & Ewell to the Spectrum for another Combined Counties League clash (kick-off 3pm).

With both Guildford City and Epsom & Ewell coming into the match after winning their last four matches we are sure to witness an exciting encounter between the two sides.

In the reverse fixture Epsom & Ewell took all three points in a commanding 4-1 victory, but with a new look team and management City will be looking to take their revenge through the likes of Dan Stewart who has scored seven goals in eight games, and Anthony Baker who has 13 goals to his name this season.

Epsom & Ewell come to West Surrey unbeaten in seven games and their striker Kyle Hough is on a run of twelve goals in eight games and so will bring a massive challenge to the Guildford defence.

Both sets of fans have reason to be confident that their side can take maximum points, but with the away side safely out of the relegation scrap and out of a title challenge, City will be hoping they take their foot off the gas so they can take a vital three points that will take them one step further to Premier division safety.
