Guildford City v Molesey FC

25/10/2014 Molesey v Guildford City. Carlton Murray-Price battles

25/10/2014 Molesey v Guildford City. Carlton Murray-Price battles

With the weather leading up to kick-off largely dry it could well be that Guildford City will actually be in home league action on Saturday for the first time since 6 December, a total of 50 days. Our visitors on Saturday are old rivals Molesey who are very much to the forefront of the promotion race and they are currently enjoying a fine run of form having won their last six league matches. Regular supporters will remember both sides previous encounter this season. City travelled to Walton Road to face then, as now, an in form side. The task was made more difficult when our only fit goalkeeper withdrew during the morning and centre-forward Anthony Baker went between the sticks. Amazingly City took an early lead and managed to hold on to win 3-2 despite a great fight back from Molesey in the second half.

Kick-off is at 3pm and so why not come along to the Spectrum to see Don Chislett’s new look side take on one of the best footballing sides in the division. Of course with a section of the Spectrum pitch not being in the best condition currently it would be best to check Twitter on this website if you are in any doubt as to the game going ahead.
