Guildford City defender Jamie Thoroughgood, who has made 25 appearances for the club this season, is the latest player to be sidelined through injury or illness.
Jamie missed last Saturday’s match against Chalfont St Peter and has since come down with Glandular fever and will be out of action for another week at least. The club sends him its best wishes for a quick recovery.
Currently studying to be a doctor, Jamie presumably diagnosed himself and signed his own letter for Kevin Rayner excusing himself from training. Sources suggest that the illness is due to a student diet of Haribo sweets for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
