Guildford City travel to Rugby Town for non-league day this Saturday and are laying on a coach to take supporters on the 214 mile round trip. The coach departs Spectrum at 10.30am and will cost just £12 for adults and £6 for the usual concessions. The return journey will start at around 6pm from Rugby.
Non-league day is an annual event which takes place on an international weekend – meaning there are no matches in the top flight of English football – and encourages supporters of larger clubs to experience local non-league football. Rugby’s nearest Football League side, Coventry City, are away from home and the club, known as ‘Valley’, expects a season-record crowd.
Guildford City are entering a team for a pre-match 11-a-side fixture between the two sets of supporters, which kicks off at 11.30am. Rugby Town’s bar is also having a happy hour between 1 and 2pm – plus there will be a free raffle for all those who attend the match.
Anyone wishing to book their place on the coach should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Eddie Russell on 07740 104100 to book their place.
