Guildford City 1 – 1 Epsom & Ewell

Guildford City’s quest to retain the Premier Division title took a dent as they were held to a draw by Epsom & Ewell. Austin Gacheru gave the home side the lead in the fourth minute but City could not extend their lead.  Martin Grant grabbed an equaliser for the visitors in the 78th minute with a superb finish.  Guildford City pressed forward for a late winner and came close when Jack Guilford skewed a shot just wide.  The result was a fair reflection of an even match, with City knowing they must win two of their four remaining matches to clinch the championship.
