Guildford City recovered from going behind early on to run out rampant victors in wet conditions. Netting six past Badshot Lea, City saw goals scored by six different players from throughout the side as they produced a magnificent team performance.
Agyeman’s early header had City on the backfoot but, after a shaky start, the visitors levelled when Hughes stabbed home in the 18th minute. Ten minutes later, City were ahead when Gacheru finished calmly against the ten men of Badshot – the hosts having had a player sent off for a reckless challenge.
Dan Moody extended the lead from the penalty spot early in the second half before Jaydon Gibbs led the home defence a merry dance before slotting home minutes later. Late on, Simon Cooper met a pinpoint Rayner corner for City’s fifth and Will Heavey stooped to head the sixth in the last minute of normal time.
