Guildford City 2 – 1 Hanworth Villa (CCL Premier Cup Second Round)

Guildford City edged through to the next round after an even game with Hanworth Villa.  Another long range Tony Chaplin effort starting the scoring, although City were pegged back almost immediately when Lawrence Shennan finished off a rebound after a save by goalkeeper Michael Hall.  Joel Hughes netted the winner in the 83rd minute.  jack Guilford had a chance to put the result beyond doubt late on, but his header was saved.  The final whistle was delayed by nearly ten minutes after Hall was left out cold on the ground following a collision with a Hanworth striker.  He groggily left the field, and stand in goalkeeper Simon Cooper made a simple stop before full time.
